The Hempire is a locally owned, independent cannabis retail store in St. Catharines. We are building a team of passionate, knowledgeable budtenders to provide our guests with the best possible experience. **Job DescriptionBudtender Responsibilities**

Budtenders are at the heart of the customer experience. They assist guests with any questions they may have, help them find the right products, and carry out transactions. They must be knowledgeable about cannabis plants, cannabis products, and cannabis regulations.

**Duties**:

- Welcome guests to the store and ensure that each individual is 19+.
- Engage with guests and help them find the right cannabis products.
- Receive cannabis product shipments from the Ontario Cannabis Store.
- Ensure that store security protocols are followed.
- Move inventory throughout the store (restocking, facing displays, fulfilling purchases).
- Maintain a clean store environment (sweeping, disinfecting surfaces, dusting).
- Operate point-of-sale systems and complete transactions.
- Conduct **daily audits** to ensure inventory accuracy and compliance.
- Conduct cannabis product inventory counts.

**Brand Ambassador Responsibilities**

The **Brand Ambassador** role is about being the **face of The Hempire** and engaging with our audience both in-store and online. We’re looking for someone who’s comfortable on camera, has a strong social media presence, and can confidently represent our brand.

**Duties**:

- Create engaging content (videos, photos, stories) for our social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, etc.).
- Appear in promotional videos, live streams, and educational content about cannabis products.
- Engage with our online community—respond to comments, answer questions, and build brand loyalty.
- Represent The Hempire at community events, pop-ups, and brand activations.
- Collaborate with local influencers and cannabis brands to boost our online presence.
- Stay up to date on social media trends and cannabis industry developments.

**What We’re Looking For**

All applicants must be:

- **CannSell Certified** (this is a mandatory requirement).
- Comfortable in front of the camera and confident speaking on social media.
- Passionate about cannabis and knowledgeable about different products.
- Legally entitled to work in Canada.
- At least 19 years of age.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
- Comfortable using computers and social media platforms.
- Available to work evenings, weekends, and peak sales periods.

**Bonus if you have**:

- Experience in content creation, marketing, or social media management.
- Previous experience in retail or the cannabis industry.
- A strong online presence or experience engaging with audiences.
