The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for monitoring and controlling the inventory through wall-to-wall and cycle counts, auditing, and recording inventory information to ensure an accurate inventory record. In this role, the individual will identify opportunities for improved inventory tracking and implement improvements for efficiency and effectiveness.

**Core Duties**
- Conduct semi-annual physical counts of inventory at locations as assigned.
- Document and reconcile the electronic count.
- Prepare written reports on outcomes, opportunities, and recommendations.
- Investigate and resolve inventory issues at the profit center level.
- Update and maintain the inventory database.
- Provide training as required to fix recurring user errors.
- Demonstrates the company’s values in all aspects of their work performance.

**Success Metrics**
- Complete projects in scope and on time.
- Ensure all item discrepancies are investigated within the scheduled timeframe.
- Communicate and report all variances to leadership and stakeholders.

**Experience**
- 1-2 years of accounting or inventory experience.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products, proficiency in Excel and ability to master in-house computer programs quickly.

**Core Competencies**
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Understanding of basic math and calculator use.
- Detail-oriented with good problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision.
- Strong organizational and time management skills

**Work Parameters**
- Normal working hours fall between 8 am - 5 pm Mountain Standard Time.
- Able to stoop, climb, kneel, crouch or crawl when performing physical counts.
- Able to lift/move objects up to 50 lbs.
- Able to work in high places (inventory racks).
- Able to obtain a lift truck license through the company.
- Observes National Holidays of the country of employment and Office Closures of the head office of record.
- Driver’s License Required.
