As we continue to grow, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated **Dental Assistant Operations & Lab Technician** to join our expanding practice. This role also involves overseeing inventory maintenance, ensuring the smooth operation of our daily activities.
**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
1. _Laboratory Duties:_
- Prepare and place dental materials for procedures such as fillings, crowns, and other restorations.
- Fabricate, adjust, and repair dental appliances, including dentures, bridges, and orthodontic retainers.
- Perform laboratory tasks such as pouring and trimming models, mixing dental materials, and creating custom trays.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure accurate results.
2._Inventory Maintenance:_
- Manage dental inventory, including ordering, stocking, and organizing supplies to ensure availability and efficiency.
- Track inventory levels and usage, forecasting needs and preventing shortages or excesses.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory and manage supplier relationships.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the inventory storage areas.
3. _Clinical Duties: _
- Assist the dentist during a range of procedures, including restorative, preventive, and surgical treatments. (Will be a BackUp)
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following strict infection control protocols.
- Take and develop high-quality dental radiographs (X-rays).
- Perform patient assessments, including updating medical histories and monitoring vital signs.
- Provide chair-side support by managing suction, passing instruments, and ensuring patient comfort.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-treatment care, and preventive practices.
**Qualifications**:
- Education and Certification:_
- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program and Certified/Licensed DA Level 1 or 2 is **required.**:
- Certification as a dental assistant and radiography certification - HARP **required**:
- CPR certification **preferred.**:
- Training or certification in dental laboratory technology is **required. (iTero, Cerec Primescan, Sprintray,** **CADI, etc..)**
**Experience**:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in dental assisting and lab technician roles.
- Proven experience in managing dental inventory and maintaining lab equipment.
- Proficiency in dental procedures, radiography, and laboratory tasks.
**Skills**:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-focused approach.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of the practice.
