**The **Finance Data Analyst** will be attached to our office in Oakville, ON. This will be a remote role. Reporting to the Manager of Finance, t**he Finance Data Analyst will take responsibility for collecting, organizing, and analyzing data, troubleshooting data issues, developing reports, communicating results, and support process improvement strategies. This individual will enable key stake holders to make informed decisions. In this role you need a fine eye for detail, experience as a data analyst with finance background, and have a deep understanding of popular data analysis tools and databases. A data analyst seasoned in data mining and an expert in using tools such as Power BI would be considered an asset. You will coordinate and interact with team members from other departments including the data analytics group.

As the **Finance Data Analyst**, your responsibilities will include:

- Working with key stakeholders to define, build, and scale reporting dashboards, supporting the finance team focusing on key performance metrics (KPI)
- Managing and preparing daily, weekly, monthly, quarter-end, and year-end dashboards
- Stewardship; ensuring high quality, accurate, and consistent data. Working cross-functionally as required
- Supporting projects related to analytics, and corporate initiatives, as assigned
- Assisting with Month end closing and budget/forecast process
- Developing, documenting, and maintaining data and dashboard definitions, processes and procedures.
- Ensuring transparency, analysis and effective communication to internal stakeholders on KPI’s analysis
- Providing regular business reports, with respect to overall performance, and recommends actions to accountable management, to provide value-add to the business.
- Carrying out ad-hoc analyses, as required.
- Evaluating and driving implementation of digitalization and automation opportunities to streamline and simplify existing workflows

As a successful **Finance Data Analyst** you will have:

- A Bachelor’s degree in Data Science or Business Administration with specialization in Finance or equivalent operations experience required in finance, and data analytics
- 3-5 years of experience in effectively analyzing and reporting on operations data
- Experience designing and building advanced data analytic dashboards using Qlik, MS PowerBI using multiple data sources
- Previously managed databases, SQL, Snowflake, Python, Data Bricks and/or other experience is required
- An affinity for and successfully utilize data visualization to help colleagues understand what the data represents quickly and clearly
- Demonstrated that you are a proactive, results driven, and effective collaborator
