We are looking for an Equipment & Building Maintenance Assistant to join our R & D Department.
Job Summary
Under the guidance of the Engineering supervisor, he / she will have the required ability to conduct some preventive maintenance tasks on manual, semiautomatic and automatic printing/engraving machines according to written and/or verbal instructions.
Will be responsible for trouble shooting and performing maintenance on company equipment as well as on General Factory and Office building related tasks.
Will participate in weekly assessment meetings related to his/her action reports in conjunction with our engineering team as needed.
Essential Duties and skill requirements
- Respond to daily building related (external or internal) requisitions;
- Conducts machine maintenance based on preassigned schedules;
- Performs operational and safety inspections on our equipment and executes corrective actions according to the guidelines established by the Engineering supervisor;
- Solves basic problems and makes mechanical adjustments to maintain functional operation.
- Has a basic understanding of decorating equipment, (Screen, Deboss, Laser and/or Digital printing);
- Completes maintenance and safety documentation records;
- Reinforces with staff proper functional cleanliness of equipment, work stations, and immediate area;
- Understands basic, Plumbing, Electric and Pneumatic principles;
- Good Verbal and written communication skills in English and French, Russian language will be an asset.
**Qualifications**:
Must be able to perform each essential duty described above satisfactorily;
Above average ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions;
Ability to interpret technical instructions.

Education and/or Experience
Requires basic Mechanical/Pneumatic and/or Electrical knowledge;
2 to 3 years of similar tasks experience;
must have good mechanical judgment combined with the desire to acquire new skills for continuous growth within our company’s Engineering department.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret general technical procedures and manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to basic questions from managers and operators.
