**General Summary**:We are looking for an Assistant Manager to join our Accounting and Finance Team. **Responsibilities**:

- Manages the month-end closing to ensure financial statements are accurately reported in coordination with company policy and GAAP
- Verifies any ERP modules and system sub-modules are interfacing correctly to the general ledger
- Tracks all closing journal entries to ensure proper posting and reversal when needed
- Reviews the trial balance and account reconciliations to assure accounts represent real financial positions
- Reports financial results to the Plant Management team and Corporate Head Office
- Completes reporting packages using Hyperion Financial Management software
- Analyzes results compared to plan and forecast providing insightful commentary
- Participates in monthly Cost Committee meetings discussing KPI's (key performance indicators) and financial results
- Leads the annual planning process and prepares monthly forecasts based on performance indicators
- Hosts audits with the Internal Controls team and external auditors when required
- Facilitates and monitors internal control measures by maintaining documents of key controls and measuring the actual processes against the controls
- Validates the perpetual inventory is reflective of all inventory transactions (i.e. shipping, receiving,transfers and scrap)
- Ensures bill of materials and standard costs are accurate and relevant to business conditions (i.e.annual cost roll, new products and engineering changes)
- Leads physical inventory events in coordination with the plant Production Control team
- Hosts annual fixed asset audit of all plant capital
- Any other ad-hoc functions and reporting as requested

**Requirements**:

- An accounting professional with university degree in accounting/finance and CPA designation or near completion who possesses;
- At least 3 years of hands on experience in a financial reporting and budgeting; thorough knowledge of GAAP. Having strong cost accounting knowledge is preferable.
- Diligent, detail oriented and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize many competing deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner.
- Advanced computer skills and knowledge in relational databases, Oracle, Hyperion, Excel and Access (Knowledge of macro/visual basic/SQL query is a definite plus.)
- Experience in a fast pace manufacturing/automotive environment is preferable.
