**About the Opportunity**:
The Emergency Registration Clerk is responsible for the registration of emergency patients, disposition of ER charts once the patient has left, abstracting accurate patient information, communications within and between departments and contributes to the maintenance of a safe environment for patients and staff. They will be responsible for cross training with Admissions, Discharges, and Transfers as well as the main Switchboard.
**About You**:
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Grade 12 or equivalent plus successful completion of a one year secretarial or business program, or 1 year recent clerical/secretarial experience required
- Graduation from an approved Medical Terminology course required
- Experience with Meditech module(s) Admitting/Registration preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet)
- Previous experience in a health care setting as asset
- Skill and accuracy in typing
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

**Hours**:
- Permanent, Full time Position; 70 hours bi-weekly
- Ability to work days, weekends, holidays, evenings, and nights required
**Compensation and Incentives**:
$22.89 - $24.88 Hourly
