**JOB OVERVIEW**
- Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is looking for a dynamic, strategic and results-driven professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Project Leader**.**
- Reporting to the Project Manager, this position is responsible to Assist Supervisor and other staff in administering the organization, coordination and execution of assigned project(s) within multidiscipline project portfolios.

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Assist Supervisor and more senior staff with coordinating and controlling defined stages of project management in accordance with Project Management governance for assigned projects or project packages in various project phases, as circumstances require
- Assist with implementing approved Project Management processes for phase-gating, integration, scope, schedule, cost, change control, estimating, communications and reporting, and risk.
- Support Supervisor and senior staff in managing the engineering, procurement and construction of assigned projects, ensuring all project objectives and commitments are controlled and delivered within targets of safety, quality, budget and schedule.
- Assist in providing immediate and higher management with regular project or work package reports. Monitor, evaluate and report on cost and schedule, and manage changes. Review cost variance reports, provide explanations and recommendations for disposition of variances, and take corrective actions when required.
- Maintain communications with internal and external stakeholders and cooperate with the exchange of relevant information as required to meet the project objectives.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Four Year University degree.
- A minimum of 2 years relevant working experience.
- Requires demonstrated analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Requires knowledge of operational performance reporting principles and processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
- P. Eng is an asset.
- PMP is an asset.

- The base salary range considers many factors including, but not limited to experience, education, and training, including any collective agreement requirements for union represented positions. It is not typical for the salary to be offered near the top of the range, and salary is dependent on numerous factors. For management roles, the base salary range does not represent the total compensation package. The total compensation package for regular full-time management roles includes pay-for-performance programs for annual and medium time periods.
