As a member of the Operations team, the S&OP Analyst will gather and analyze numerous data sets and provide analytical support and insight to improve the operational effectiveness. You will liaise with various other departments across the organization to support the coordination of analytical efforts including Manufacturing, Logistics and Inventory Control. You will develop key performance analytics for the management team, develop new reporting methods and continuously improve existing tools and models which provide additional visibility on operational and sales performance. In addition, you will support existing partner and program tasks, document creation and ad-hoc reporting amongst other tasks.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and lead cross functional efforts that identify key improvement opportunities, then design a plan of action, execute the plan, report the results, and ensure sustainability.
- Build and manage tools and processes that support key objectives such as demand, capacity, and supply planning, inventory modeling, service and revenue forecasting, plan optimization, and gap analysis. Develop advanced analytical tools and reporting to support the entire S&OP process.
- Create, monitor, and maintain S&OP metrics and key performance indicators, identifying potential risks and opportunities.
- Consolidate and analyze demand and supply information for the operational, tactical, and strategic plans, and use data to drive on-time delivery, establish lead times, inventory turns, and maximizing revenue.
- Work with operations to optimize production efficiencies with a focus on cycle times, batch sizes, working capital, and shift strategies.
- Once the plan is in place, help facilitate cross-functional communication between all levels of the organization to support new product launches. This might include line extensions, promotions, discontinuations, or other actions all based upon decision-making modeling of process flow, inventory levels, costs of manufacturing, and distribution and transportation.
- Determine target inventory and planning method policies for major products with input from business and segment leaders.
- Support decision-making and the improvement of critical processes including Production Scheduling, Materials Planning, Manufacturing, Inventory Planning, Capacity Planning, Transportation Planning, and Distribution Resource Planning.
- Drive resolution to operational issues, while keeping cross-functional partners aware of supply and service issues by providing facts.
- Responsible for system integrity relative to planning parameters (safety stock parameters, planning time fence, lot size).
- Build and manage tools and processes that support key objectives such as demand, capacity, and supply planning, inventory modeling, service and revenue forecasting, plan optimization, and gap analysis. Develop advanced analytical tools and reporting to support the entire S&OP process.
- Other duties as required, including ad hoc reporting and special projects
**Qualifications and Experience Requirements**:
- University degree or college diploma in a relevant discipline
- 3+ years experience with data analysis, reporting and problem solving (including extracting information from Salesforce and ERP Systems)
- Advanced level of knowledge in MS Excel special functions (i.e.VLOOKUP & Pivot Table), VBA and experience of MS Office Suit, Excel, and Access, PowerPoint
- An in-depth understanding of data reporting tools and methods
- Good knowledge transferring skills with an ability to present findings in a logical & relevant format (verbal & written)
- Good understanding of object-oriented databases and logical relationships
- Strong mathematical and statistical skills (data sets, variance, hypothesis testing)
- Expert attention to details and accuracy, able to conduct root-cause investigations
- Strong business modelling and information management skills
- Hands on and detail oriented and able to work well with multiple priorities
- Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines
- Results oriented with a sense of urgency
- Customer oriented - strives to exceed internal customer expectations
- Clear consistent and reliable communicator
- Comfortable in a fast-paced dynamic environment
