Our total rewards package includes educational support, RRSP matching, health, and dental benefits through CLAC. **Summary**: We are currently hiring for a **Certified or Non-Certified Carpenter** with a strong focus on safety to work as a **Working Foreman**. Reporting to the Field Operations Director, you will partner with the Superintendent to oversee a wood-frame project**. This** **role is employed through CLAC, and membership will be required once hired.** **Role and Responsibilities**: - Oversee daily construction activities, ensuring adherence to blueprints and specifications. - Assist the Superintendent with organizing and coordinating the daily activities of all crew members, subcontractors, and equipment. - Coach and guide staff on site as required in partnership with the Superintendent. - Conduct regular inspections to monitor work quality and identify any potential issues. - Perform various hands-on carpentry tasks as required. - Document all pertinent project information, including site conditions and changes in scope of work. - Monitor the attendance of crew and assist with the production of schedules. - Ensure all applicable environmental regulations are adhered to throughout the construction process. - Model the company values. **Scott Construction Values**: - **People First |** _When we take care of people, we take care of Scott, our Industry, and our communities._ - **Safety Always |** _We owe it to each other to get home safely._ - **Seek Better Ways |** _Innovation and development fuels growth._ - **Get It Done |** _Find a solution, take the initiative, and deliver on every commitment._ - **Have Fun |** _Enjoy what you do._ - **Own It |** _Be accountable and take pride in each day’s work._ **Qualifications**: - Minimum 5 years of construction experience as a carpenter on a wood-frame project, with at least 2 years in a lead role (Working Foreman or equivalent). - Highschool diploma or equivalent. - Proven carpentry skills - red seal certification not required. - Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. - Excellent organizational and time management abilities. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Commitment to safety and a keen eye for detail. Pay: $35.82-$40.66 per hour
