**EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY**

**Emergency Response Coordinator**
Ladysmith, BC.

The Emergency Response Coordinator is responsible for
developing and implementing long-term strategies for the
Stz’uminus Emergency Program, ensuring compliance with
legislative requirements while addressing community needs.
Key duties include managing the day-to-day activities of the
program, recruiting and overseeing volunteers, and
collaborating with various agencies and neighboring
communities to coordinate effective emergency preparedness,
response, and recovery efforts. The coordinator also develops
essential plans, such as the Community Emergency Plan and Fire
Plan, and plays a crucial role in promoting public education on
emergency preparedness and safety.

**Qualifications**
- A certificate or higher (degree) in Emergency

Management, Public Safety, or a related field, or an
equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in emergency

management, disaster response, or a related field,
preferably within Indigenous communities or
organizations.
**Pay Range: $43,855.06 - $53,252.58 - $62,650.09
**The Pay Range is the minimum (Step 1) and maximum
(highest Step) annual base salary based on full time
equivalent hours.***
