Responsibilities
- Coordinating the receiving, price ticketing, updating and paperwork for all incoming orders as orders are received.
- Perform quality audits of the condition of shipped goods for both incoming and outgoing items prior to signing off, reporting, and documenting any discrepancies to an available manager.
- Input merchandise into point of sale computer, verifying original order with packing slip and vendor invoice.
- Call vendor to obtain invoice when one is not provided.
- Coordinate with Accounting Department in accuracy of all invoices, correcting when necessary the same day.
- Organize merchandise, keeping the stockroom and back door area clean and tidy.
- daily walk the aisles for out of stock products, collect data and order if needed
- Perform merchandise inventory (cycle count)
- Order merchandise as assigned (3 order dates, order when shelf is empty, complete sale orders)
- Create purchase orders
- special orders for customers including calling vendors and communicating with customers and follow up on the sale
- create a special promos for items with percentage sales
- go through weekly flyer when it arrives and check for missing items
- Prepare all return (recalls and expired products) and call for pick ups in a timely fashion.
- Distribute incoming merchandise to appropriate department
- Maintain and update the POS system to the highest level of data integrity including creating new items accurately.
- Coordinate the use of the system with other staff member to ensure that data integrity is maintained.
- Fully utilize POS system capabilities for the support of an efficient and profitable store operation.
- Organize and coordinate removal of store waste at the end of each shift.
- cover breaks, provide customer service and have OLG capacity
- Maintenance of a safe work environment.
- Other duties as assigned.

Skills Required
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience in receiving role preferred.
- Ability to perform repetitive heavy lifting.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Computer literate.
- Effective attention to detail, organization skills and a high degree of accuracy.
- Able to effectively communicate in a professional, courteous manner with staff and supplier representatives.

Working Conditions
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
- Overtime as required.
- Lifting or moving up to 50 lbs may be required.
- Work is performed in a combination of environments.
- This position may be exposed to elements such as weather, noise, dust, odours, fumes and oils.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 15-25 per week

**Salary**: From $15.50 per hour
