**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure that each customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment, which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer, assisting customers with their purchases and all other aspects of customer service
- Processing on-line lottery sales, selling instant lottery tickets, and following all OLG rules and regulations required by lawMaintain an awareness of all promotions and advertisements
- Accurately and efficiently ring through transactions on registers. Accurately maintain all cash, credit/debit transaction at the registers, follow procedures on coupons, gift cards, etc. Strong computer skills
- Communicate customer requests to management
- Maintain orderly appearance of cash area and keep supplies stocked
- Stocking sales floor
- Facing up shelves, cleaning, dusting and organizing
- Any other tasks that are assigned from time to time by any manager or supervisors
- Ability to work days, evenings, and weekends as needed
- Resolve customer concerns in a positive helpful manner
- Welcoming customers, answering their questions, helping them locate items, and providing advice and/or recommendations
- Balancing the cash register and generating reports for credit and debit sales
- Processing refunds and exchanges and resolving complaints
- Distribute incoming merchandise to appropriate department
- daily walk the aisles for out of stock products, collect data
- Skills Required
- High school diploma or GED equivalent completed or in progress.
- Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Exceptional conflict resolution and objection handling skills.
- Able to work well under pressure
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.
- Professional appearance and manners
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude

Work Conditions
- Manual dexterity required
- Sitting, standing, bending and walking.
- Repetitive work.
- Ability to work flexible shifts
- Lifting or moving of inventory and shelving will be required

**Summary**

As a Cashier and Lottery Associate, you will be essential in delivering outstanding customer service and managing transactions efficiently. Your core skills in cash handling, POS systems, and communication will enable you to assist customers with purchases and lottery ticket sales effectively. With a high school diploma or GED, you will also utilize your basic math skills to ensure accurate cash management.
