**Position Overview**

We are seeking a proactive and experienced **Insurance Broker Supervisor** to lead our **Commercial Department**. This role involves managing day-to-day team operations, maintaining compliance, engaging directly with clients, and contributing to both commercial and personal lines growth.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Team Leadership & Compliance**
- Supervise and manage workflow of the commercial lines team
- Oversee renewals, endorsements, cancellations, and documentation in accordance with **RIBO** and **FSRA** regulations
- Mentor team members and support training and performance development
- Optimize internal processes to enhance service efficiency

**Client-Focused Sales & Service**
- Prepare insurance quotes for **small**, **mid-market**, **trucking**, and other commercial clients
- Perform risk assessments and work with underwriters to secure approvals
- Manage both **commercial** and **personal lines** insurance needs, including **home, auto, and tenant policies**:

- Educate clients on coverages, exclusions, and risk management strategies

**Relationship & Business Development**
- Represent Connex at industry events and build strong insurer relationships
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and team growth strategies
- Assist in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities

**Required Qualifications**
- **RIBO license** (mandatory)
- Minimum **2 years of industry experience**, with **2+ years in a leadership/supervisory role**:

- Deep understanding of **commercial and personal lines** insurance products and underwriting practices
- Proficient with industry tools (e.g., TAM, EPIC, Power Broker)
- Knowledge of **RIBO** and **FSRA** regulatory requirements

- Strong client focus with proven ability to build lasting business relationships
- Excellent oral and written communication skills for effective interaction with clients, insurers, and team
- Organized and detail-oriented with flexibility to adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Sound judgment in managing client risks, underwriting negotiations, and team decision-making
- Recognized for reliability and accountability in meeting deadlines and service standards
