Position Summary:
**Responsibilities**:

- Follow ASTM, ASME, SAE, CWB, ISO, NACE and custom specifications for testing
- Follow company quality standards and procedures
- Conduct verifications and calibrations on equipment and parts as needed
- Operate equipment and follow test procedures
- Follow maintenance and safety checklists for equipment as needed
- Prepare test reports with necessary customer information, results and conclusions
- Collaborate with other departments on high volume and large scale projects

**Requirements**:

- Engineering technology degree or technical diploma
- Previous experience with optical emission spectroscopy equipment is considered an asset
- Experience working in a metallurgical laboratory setting is considered an asset
- Comfortable with and knowledgeable in handling acids/chemicals
- Well organized, detail-oriented, manages time well
- Must be able to work efficiently in a fast paced setting
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a collaborative team environment
- Strong verbal communication and with ability to follow written directions
- Team player with willingness to learn and develop on the job
- Able to lift up to 23kg (50 lbs)
- Strong computer skills
- Fluent in written and spoken English
