Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Operations, Central Region, this position is located in our Sudbury Office. The General Manager will manage our relationship with the client and is responsible and accountable for the implementation of obligations as required oversee the delivery of janitorial services to all contracts within the Norther region (Sudbury, North Bay, Sault Ste Marie), and be accountable for the overall functions of the branch.

**Responsibilities**:

- Build strong relationships, listen intently, and utilize clear & transparent communication.
- Develop and be accountable for a safety culture that creates a work environment where no one gets hurt.
- Responsible for assisting team members in their career growth, establishing an effective succession planning process, and oversight of all recruitment required for the park, especially during peak seasons.
- Conduct random site inspections to ensure quality levels are maintained, documented and communicated to the client contact.
- Conduct random site audits to ensure staffing levels and payroll reports are accurate, key/card access controls and quality inspection programs are in place, WHMIS documentation and training is current, supply levels are adequate, equipment and employee uniforms are in good order.
- Maintain positive relationships with clients by conducting formal client review meetings on a regular basis.
- Review month end revenue to ensure invoicing is accurate.
- Review all labour costs against budget to ensure accounts are on budget.
- Ensure all sub contractor insurance liability and WSIB certificates are current.
- Participate in union collective agreement negotiations.
- Ensure all monthly reporting is completed as per month end deadlines.
- Conduct regular operations management meetings with staff to develop a true team spirit and share problem solving techniques.
- Review monthly financial reports with Operations and prepare corrective plans for over-budget accounts.
- Review red flag accounts with Operations staff and prepare corrective action strategies.
- Develop and participate in client retention programs with Operations staff.
- Prepare and present annual operating budget.
- Attend BOMA functions and network with peers to stay current with the Real Estate community and competitors.
- Assist the Sales & Marketing team in securing new business.
- Prepare contract renewal pricing and negotiate renewals.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
