Parts Advisor

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you Join TRAXX’s team as a Parts Advisor and play a vital role in coordinating and managing our parts inventory while ensuring smooth operations across our multiple locations.

Reporting to the Parts Manager, the Parts Advisor is responsible for coordinating parts management for TRAXX’s maintenance needs in our British Columbia operations. You will collaborate closely with the part staff located in Airdrie, who handle the parts management for maintenance needs in our Alberta operations. Together, the Parts Advisor and the Parts Staff will ensure efficient parts coordination and support, contributing to the overall success of the company.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Procure parts from reliable vendors, ensuring timely delivery and cost-efficiency.
- Coordinate the receiving and issuing of parts to support the company’s maintenance and repair activities.
- Maintain effective communication with vendors, internal customers (such as maintenance staff in different locations), and other stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of parts requests.
- Process shipping and receiving documentation, including invoices, purchase orders, and delivery notes.
- Distribute shipments throughout the company, ensuring accurate delivery to the designated locations.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels, categorize and store parts based on established naming conventions, conducting regular audits and reconciliations to prevent stockouts or excess inventory.
- Update and maintain accurate inventory records using our inventory management system.
- Research and stay updated on new parts, accessories, and industry trends to provide recommendations for improvements and cost-saving opportunities.
- Assist in the management of warranty claims and returns, ensuring proper documentation and resolution.
- Contribute to a safe and organized working environment by adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a clean parts storage area.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

You are a self-starter with the ability to work in dynamic environments both independently and as part of a team. Key to your success is your attention to detail, organisational and multi-tasking, communication, and people skills.

**QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE**
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Previous experience as a Parts Advisor, Parts Coordinator, or in a similar role within the automotive or transportation industry is an asset but not required.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Solid problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle parts, their specifications, and functions is advantageous.

**JOB TYPE**: Full-time (Permanent).

**SCHEDULE**: Monday to Friday (7:00am to 3:30pm). Occasional flexibility may be required to accommodate urgent part needs or special projects.

**SALARY RANGE**:$20/hr to $24/hr.
