**Job Title**: Production Manager

**Reports To**: General Manager, Winnipeg Operations

**Summary**:
Reporting directly to the General Manager of Winnipeg Operations, the Production Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing a group of product cells and assumes full accountability for the day-to-day activities and performance goals of the manufacturing team. This encompasses various departments such as Production Planning, Maintenance, Shipping/Receiving, MV Fabrication, MV Assembly, and OEM. The Production Manager serves as the primary driving force for the comprehensive production team, actively participating in quality assurance, safety protocols, and LEAN manufacturing initiatives.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Establish and meet quality targets while actively engaging in auditing and initiating quality improvements.
- Set productivity targets for value streams and cell leaders, while ensuring continuous improvement initiatives are met.
- Promptly address and resolve any risks to key performance indicators.
- Ensure appropriate gross profit levels by implementing LEAN manufacturing techniques.
- Provide consistent and constructive feedback to direct reports on company policies, established procedures, and performance levels.
- Engage in coaching, mentorship, and goal setting for direct reports.
- Provide input and direction regarding production cell layouts and processing.
- Conduct daily meetings to review shipping targets, material issues, machine performance, manpower allocation, and safety concerns.
- Participate in weekly production planning sessions.

**Requirements**:

- Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to mentor/coach employees and resolve conflicts.
- Background in engineering, business, or manufacturing with a minimum of 5 years of management experience or equivalent.
- Proficiency in LEAN manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Experience with ERP software such as Syteline, IFS, or similar systems preferred.
- Willingness to travel within Canada and the US, holding a valid passport and driver’s license.
