Procurement Coordinator

**Introduction**

Reporting to the Supply Chain Buyer/Procurement Supervisor, you are responsible for supporting procurement in executing on product launches and existing product sales. As a well-organized individual, you will be the involved in various aspects of the commercialization and operational business units.

**Position Overview**:

- Interacting with the commercial team on a daily basis and attending team meetings.
- Assisting in PO tracking and receipt, and various materials ordering including day-to-day purchasing
- Communicating SKU specific specification to engineering to be used for production staff.
- Assisting in new product launches
- Process improvement initiatives to improve workflow between the commercialization team and production.
- Ensuring an accurate flow of information from Commercial Managers to production staff when any clarification is required as part of production.
- Sourcing and tracking vendors for packaging, labeling, hardware and various formulation requirements.
- Meeting with production and commercial departments to ensure timelines set by purchase orders are on track and identify any risks.
- Conduct daily tracking updates and monitoring systems related to purchasing
- Maintain and control vendor files as they relate to cost, quantity, quality, and specifications
- Assist in developing min order quantities, reorder scheduling and delivery timelines
- Work across multiple departments on expected incoming material and verify invoices
- Source competitive pricing and complete cost comparison initiatives
- Actively participate and engage in continuous improvement strategies and cost reduction initiatives
- Other duties as required.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelors degree, College diploma or certificate in a related discipline
- Min 2 years experience in supporting stages of the product development lifecycle
- Ability to be on-site
- Experience within Cannabis industry is considered an asset
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Positive attitude with strong communication skills
- Strong time management skills including ability to multitask and prioritize
- Shows initiative and ownership of work and willingness to learn
- Advanced computer skills including proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word)
- Required to pass a criminal background check

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
