**Job Title**: Animal Care Attendant - Driver

**Company Overview**: Toronto AMS / WYSK is a new and exciting company in the Greater Toronto Area specializing in safe and efficient animal transportation to and from animal hospitals. We offer Transportation within the GTA of pets between homes and appointments, from veterinarian to veterinary hospital and other pet transportation needs for both healthy and critically ill pets

**Location**: Toronto and GTA

**Key Functions**: Reporting to Senior Management, and working in partnership with a Registered Veterinary Technician onboard, the Animal Care Attendant will be the driver of the vehicle and be responsible to ensure safe transportation of animals and assisting in bringing animals onboard and offboard the vehicle at their pick-up and drop off locations. As well you will be responsible to inspect the vehicle to ensure the vehicle is suitable and capable of performing the trip requirements and document that the inspection of the Vehicle has been completed. Transport animals, and/or supplies, safely and responsibly to and from scheduled destinations to another.

**Qualifications**:

- Must have experience with being an animal care attendant either for work or volunteer-based.
- You must be an animal lover and be able to communicate clearly with owners and other staff
- Ability to manage time effectively
- Ability to drive with occasional loud background noise
- Ability to constantly communicate with multiple people
- Assist with paperwork pertaining to transportation and patient care.
- Involvement in all steps of pet transport jobs - from desk work to fieldwork
- **10 years of being continuously insured is a must**:

- Must have valid driver’s license + clean driving record, with experience driving larger vehicles.
- Willing to grow within our growing company.
- Understands that pets are like family members and extends this empathy to every client and pet they interact with.
- Enthusiastic, positive attitude, and growth-oriented mindset.
- Be punctual.
- Willingness to learn something new every day and be adaptable.
- The primary driver is responsible for basic maintenance of the vehicle and contents which include;
Ensuring the vehicle is fueled, ensuring the windshield washer tank is filled, and ensuring everything is in working order.
- Having the vehicle washed once a month; cleaning the vehicle interior at least once per week, including;
cleaning inside of windows, wiping down dashboard and console, and walls with Lysol wipes, vacuuming
- Ensuring dog safety harnesses and tie-downs are in a condition that does not compromise dog safety and removing damaged items from the shuttle and requesting replacements from management
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Fluency in English is required
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Ability to lift minimum of 50 lbs.
- Previous experience in a professional setting with animals required

**Salary**: $17.00-$20.00 per hour
