Bethany is a one-of-a-kind establishment focused on the mentally ill and individuals at risk of homelessness, we strive to give the best possible environment for our residents and staff. During these hard times of a world pandemic and uncertainty it is more imperative then ever for all to take the health and safety of ourselves and others seriously. The Bethany family has 128 beds, where we provide meals, laundry, and basic care. We have been successful for the past 30 years in helping individuals cope with their mental illness by making their everyday life easier and meaningful.
We are looking for any individual that is willing and able to work as a caregiver/homemaker, including students, stay at home moms and dads, change of career, PSW, RPN _**all are welcome to apply. ** _

To Provide accommodation, meals, and care to meet the physical, social, intellectual and psychological needs of individuals who are in need of a respectful environment and are challenged or are at risk.

**What we are looking for**:
Bethany Residence depends on our kind and caring staff to work together as a team, to assist our residence in daily routines and activities. Employee work-life balance and well-being is very important to us.

We are currently hiring for either 2 part-time or 1 full-time positions, the shift rotations will be evenings (3:00pm-11:30pm) and Days (7:00am-3:30pm), this includes every other weekend. This positions will consist of the following:

- Providing emotional, social, and cognitive support.
- Promotes a safe environment for staff and residence.
- Meal service and clean up.
- Light housekeeping such as making beds, laundry, and cleaning.
- Assisting in hygiene care including showers, nail care, and beard shaves.
- Reporting and recording observations or concerns with management or supervisors.
- Following company policies.
- Complete the required health and safety training, which we will help to provide which includes W.H.M.I.S, CPR and more.

**Qualifications**:

- Excellent communication skills verbal and written.
- Team player works well in a team or independently.
- Maintains a good attendance record and is reliable
- Works well with vulnerable individuals
- Emotional intelligence, and coping skills.
- Police check with a vulnerable sector service screening.
- Graduated secondary school.
- Covid-19 test, and proof of vaccination

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 16-40 per week

**Salary**: $15.25-$16.25 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
All staff has temperature taken before entering and leaving the building. Masks and shields must be worn at all times, which are provided. All employees receive an onsite Covid-19 rapid test every day before beginning shift.
