This position focuses greatly on customer service as well as retail and hospitality skills. We will teach anyone who's a wine lover everything from vine to bottle to... glass.
- Provide customers with excellent, knowledgeable customer service regarding finding the best wine(s) for their preferences, conducting tastings, and accurately providing them with any information they may want about the wine/winery
- Working with the management team to build the key initiatives calendar for sales and marketing
- Act as an ambassador for Ontario’s local wine culture with personal experience and recommendations by answering visitors’ questions and providing general tourist information
- Lead informative group tours of the vineyard and winery while talking about the winery, the wine making process. Conduct a structured tasting flight of wines for groups
- Collaboratively working towards and achieving monthly sales targets set by Management
- Actively maintain the store by monitoring inventory levels of wine and wine related products sold in the store, restocking daily, and ordering more inventory if the supply is low. Also monitor the cleanliness and presentation of the store and ensure it is kept at a high level
- Manage direct communication with customers via social media platforms as well as contributing to content creation and growing subscription base
- Contribute to the goals of the organization by completing other tasks as necessary, including but not limited to: assisting the Events Team with the execution of events held at the winery and helping with some aspects of the wine production process such as bottling

**Job Requirements**:
*Must be 19+ years of age*
- Possess excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills allowing them to work well with other team members in our work environment
- Able to work with mínimal or no supervision. Should proactively prioritize and accomplish necessary tasks
- Willing to follow direction and should ask questions for clarification whenever unsure.
- Required to be available **Weekends (Saturday-Sunday) **due to the demand of the industry and have access to reliable transportation due to there being no access to the winery by public transit.
- Must be motivated to learn on the job and increase their knowledge of wine and wine related sales.
- Required to be Smart Serve certified, including the retail sales upgrade, and legally able to serve alcohol in the province of Ontario.
- Able to lift up to 18kg, which is the weight of one case of wine.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Every Weekend
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

- Tips

**Experience**:

- wine/restaurant: 1 year (preferred)
- hospitality/tourism: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Smart Serve (required)
