**Overview**
**Duties**
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and propulsion systems on recreational boats.
- Install and troubleshoot marine electronics including GPS, VHF radios, depth sounders, and navigation systems.
- Service and repair outboard and inboard engines, particularly Mercury and Volvo Penta.
- Conduct sea trials and system tests as needed
- Maintain accurate service records and communicate effectively with the service managers and customers.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacture guidelines
**Required Qualifications**
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a marine technician ( recreational boating preferred)
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Familiarity with common marine systems; propulsion, fuel, steering, HVAC, and bilge systems
- Ability to work on-site at marinas, docks, or at a customers location
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Factory certifications from Mercury Marine, Yamaha or other major marine engine manufacturers
- Experience with marine diagnostics tools and software
- ABYC or NMEA certifications
- Welding, fiberglass repair, or rigging experience is a plus
Pay: $18.64-$38.01 per hour
Expected hours: 40 - 44 per week
