**Working for the Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences**

**Position**

**Duties**
- Carry out simulations of returned sample curation and analysis.
- Develop and refine advanced methods of astromaterials curation.
- Assist with support and development of the Western Canada arm of the Global Fireball Observatory, to improve chances of meteorite recovery.

**Minimum Qualifications**
- A recent (within 5 years) Ph.D. in the general area of astromaterials research.

**Preferred Qualifications**

Experience with astromaterials, especially involving one or more of the following, would be considered an asset:

- Analysis of organic matter, DNA extraction and sequencing.
- Experience in microbeam analysis of meteorites.
- Experience with fireball observatories and data reduction.
- Experience in museum collections management or conservation.
