Junior Accounting Clerk

We are currently seeking an experienced, reliable, and motivated Junior Accounting Clerk to add to our team

The Junior Accounting Clerk‘s primary function is to provide support to the accounts payable and receivable functions and perform general accounting duties as assigned. Comprehensive training will be provided upon start.

**Responsibilities**:
1. Assist in the development, implementation, training, and documentation of policies and procedures related to the accounting process.

2. Assisting with accounts payable and receivable functions.

3. Data entry and maintenance of financial records.

4. Assisting with month-end and year-end financial reports.

5. Reconciliation of bank statements and other financial documents.

6. Providing support to the accounting team as needed Providing general support to the accounting department.

7. Compile and prepare routine reports and summaries.

8. Preparing deposits and delivering them to banks.

9. Assisting with reviewing records and expenses, among other items as assigned.

10. Maintain confidentiality of all financial data.

11. Miscellaneous Data entry as required e.g. inventory.

**Job Specific Qualifications**:
1. At a minimum, an Associate's degree in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Finance, or a similar field. Bachelor's degree preferred. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience can be substituted.

2. 1-3 years of relevant, hands-on accounting experience.

3. Proficient in advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, including Excel.

4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

5. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

6. Ability to work independently on assigned duties.

7. Demonstrates an ability to manage a variety of priorities while meeting deadlines.

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
