We have an opportunity for a Machine Operator to join our staff to meet the demands of our growing business. **About You**: If you're the right person for this job, then you are familiar with a manufacturing environment and have operating experience. You work well within a team and are able to follow direction and adhere to production and safety policies well. You have a strong mechanical aptitude and know how to think innovatively when it comes to problem-solving or troubleshooting. You are self-motivated, a hard worker, responsible and reliable. You are looking for long-term, full-time employment. The Operator is responsible for the safe operation of manufacturing machines and reports to the Production Line Supervisor. They will be responsible for the following tasks: **Position Responsibilities**: Including, but not limited to, the following: - **Production Oversight**:_ - Monitor production levels, ensuring quotas are being met. - Ensure the accuracy of the following data: WO Reports and Finished Cases. - Always maintain a high standard of quality. - Ensure raw materials returning to inventory are identified with the correct RM # and quantity. - Foster an environment of positive coaching and mentorship amongst the production team. - Encourage team members to bring forth new ideas and to speak up about their concerns. - Assist with team members' training and performance reviews with the Supervisor. - Always maintain a clean and well-organized production floor. - **Efficiency & LEAN process**:_ - Monitor and ensure work is carried out in compliance with established LEAN practices and processes. - Monitor and ensure work is carried out in compliance with production-related SOPs and policies. - **Maintenance oversight**:_ - Ensure the production equipment is well-maintained and in good working order. - Report any deficiencies with the equipment to your supervisor upon discovery. - Promote a "safety-first" environment with the maintenance team. - **Production Safety**:_ - Monitor and ensure work is carried out in compliance with the OHS & QA policies and other applicable regulations. - Actively promote a culture of "Safety First." **Position Requirements**: - Knowledge of manufacturing principles and processes - Ability to work under pressure while meeting deadlines and maintaining a positive attitude. - Ability to collaborate closely and efficiently with production team members. - Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills - An attitude of continuous improvement - Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment; - Must be able to stand for long periods of time (anti-fatigue mats are provided); - Must possess a sense of organization and be able to work on a set schedule; - Must be able to lift at least 30 pounds; **Benefits for all qualified full-time employees**: - Extended Health, dental, life insurance, etc. - RRSP matching program **Hours**: Monday to Thursday 5:45 am to 4:15 pm ,Overtime as required Starting Wage: $18.85 (training wage) Expected hours: 10 per week **Benefits**: - Dental care - Extended health care - Life insurance - On-site parking - RRSP match - Vision care Schedule: - 10 hour shift Work Location: In person
