**POSITION OVERVIEW**
PlyGem Canada is seeking a highly driven **Inside Sales Representative** with a strong passion for sales and customer service. Reporting to the Operations Lead, the Inside Sales Representative is responsible for supporting the sales team and corporate sales initiatives through a variety of administrative, clerical, and customer service functions.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Assist customers and outside sales rep with all inquiries regarding product, shipping, guidelines, warranty, etc.
- Maintenance of sales files in conjunction with the Outside Sales rep.
- Responsible for servicing customers directly by telephone, mail, fax or over the counter.
- Communicate with Marketing and Pricing Departments regarding customer pricing issues.
- Regularly communicate by telephone to sales staff, Allied Dept., Marketing Dept, and Credit Department on inquiries, and to assist in facilitating orders for shipping and pick-up.
- Prepare daily schedule of orders and distribute to branch warehouse staff.
- Communicate with warehouse regarding shipping errors and discrepancies.
- Run weekly open order report and follow up on open orders with customers.
- Deal with any issues resulting from delivery, i.e., late shipment, shortages, damaged product.
- Prepare required paperwork for Freight Claims, and arrange for appropriate credit, and possible re-shipment, resulting from damaged product on shipment.
- Creating CAD diagrams when necessary for special products.
- Maintain customer listing.
- Order entry of customer orders.
- Process credits/invoices for customers when required.
- Additional tasks as assigned by the Outside Sales Representative
- Follow all current work instructions and policies and procedures.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
**Education**
- Highschool, GED, and/or post-secondary education required.
**Experience**
- 1 to 3 years of customer service and sales assistance experience in a high-volume sales environment.
- Sales experience is an asset.
- Knowledge of exterior building products industry an asset.
**Skills/Abilities**
- Strong interpersonal, conflict resolution and customer service skills.
- Previous experience in window and/or residential construction industry an asset but is not required.
- Customer Service orientation with a genuine desire to provide customer service excellence.
- Experience or demonstrated ability to read blueprints /plan-to-offs is a definite asset.
- Demonstrated ability to assess, prioritize, plan, and organize projects.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
