**Estimator**

Penn-co Construction is a leading construction company currently hiring an Estimator to join our team working at our **Steinbach office**. As the Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely cost estimates, including materials and labour, while ensuring all necessary pricing data is up to date. **Responsibilities**
- Conduct detailed review of drawings and specifications to determine scope and requirements
- Solicit and evaluate pricing from subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness
- Perform material take-offs and quantity estimates for various project components
- Review sub-trade qualifications and assess quotes for compliance with project requirements
- Work collaboratively within the estimating team to ensure all bid requirements are met

**Qualifications**
- Training or experience in the construction industry, with a strong understanding of estimating principles
- Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field is an asset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Proficiency in Excel and Bluebeam
- Detail-orientated with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under strict deadlines
- Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as a part of a team
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with architects, engineers, subcontractors and internal teams
