**Position: Accounting Manager**
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Location**: Markham
**Responsibilities**:
- Responsible for internal control by developing and updating accounting policies and procedures.
- Responsible for accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, G/L, financial reporting, etc.
- Conduct month-end financial reporting including processing accruals and adjustments, reconciling accounts, and preparing monthly accounting statements.
- Perform financial analysis of operating results against budget and operating metrics and provide recommendations.
- Monitor the cash flow.
- Oversee and prepare the annual budget and maintain the forecast throughout the fiscal year.
- Work with outside accountants and manage all audits.
- Ensure compliance and handle tax filings.
- Collaborate with management team to ensure the business growth.
- Develop and manage departmental goals in support of company objectives.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, training, and guidance to staff as necessary.
- Other duties as required.
**Requirements**:
- University degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA designation is a plus
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in full cycle capacity
- Experience in manufacturing industry and inventory management
- Startup experience is a plus
- Well-organized and detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
- Effective communication and negotiation skills
- Strong problem solving skills
- High level of integrity, confidentiality and accountability
- Advanced proficiency with Excel; ERP experience is a plus
