Wheels for wise is a Veteran Affairs independence program affiliate who assist Veterans and others to get to and from medical appointments, such as doctors appointments, physio, dentist, day surgeries, massage and many others. First company of its kind in the Atlantic, we are ever growing to serve the needs of our clients. This is an amazing opportunity for someone semi-retired or wishes to help Veterans in your area.
**We are currently looking for a driver/support worker in Nova Scotia**
What we are looking for:
Veteran / Retired RCMP preferred but not necessary Position is part-time / Casual 5 to 30hrs a week which depends mostly on employees request
MUST have clean drivers abstract
MUST pass vulnerable sector check
MUST be able to temporarily support someone's weight
Mileage Paid when utilizing personal vehicle
PREFERRED Location of driver is in HRM, but not necessary.
Polite and Caring Demeanor
Smartphone required
**Experience with individuals with PTSD is an asset**
**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual
Pay: $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 4 - 20 per week
Flexible Language Requirement:
- French not required
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
- On call
