**Position Purpose**:Direct to Store delivery service delivery Owner Operators fulfill a critical role in the Island beverage industry. Our Owner Operators not only make sure the customers’ products arrive at their destination at the arranged times and in good condition, but they are the face of our company - building lasting relationships with our customers

**Primary Responsibilities**:The Owner Operators is responsible for driving on local roads to pick-up and drop trailers as well as routes for the purpose of delivering and/or unloading beverage products to customers in a safe and timely manner. This involves using a trailer equipped with a power tailgate, a power pallet jack and hand truck, where required.

The Owner Operator communicates and interacts with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner. Functions as a team member within the Nanaimo terminal, as required.

**This is a Monday to Friday position. Early morning through afternoon.**

**Compensation**:

- $72 per hour (including Fuel surcharge)
- Company supplied Fuel cards
- PO’s for repairs
- National volume pricing on tires and fuel

**Responsibilities may include, but not limited to**:

- Performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment, paperwork, and loaded product.
- Maintaining daily electronic driving logs.
- Drive to destinations as outlined in the manifest in a safe, responsible, manner and in compliance with all laws and transportation regulations.
- Notifying Customer Service with any route changes, time delays, and non-delivered orders.
- Checking-in with customers at each designated account and serving as a Pac Rim Distribution representative.
- Finding solutions to possible challenges with the assistance of Customer Service.
- Unloading and delivering product to assigned area within account as directed by the customer.
- Assisting Customer Service and Buyers as needed in a prompt, professional manner.
- Checking for credits and processing them according to company guidelines.
- Submitting customer payments and paperwork to appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
- Performing other tasks and duties as assigned.

**Qualification**:
Current Class 1 Drivers license

Day-cab tandem axle tractor capable of licensing to 46.500 kgs
1 year commercial driving experience
Must be 19+ years of age
Meet all Provincial licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable)
Clean Driver’s Abstract for past 3 years
Pass criminal background check
Pass driving evaluation
Able to hand-lift and utilize two-wheeler, lift gate and/or other equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight throughout shift; product generally ranges from between 20-35 pounds and up to between approximately 60 and 90 pounds, depending on the location.
