Reporting to the Inside Sales Coordinator, the Technical Consultant Inside Sales will be accountable for several roles and responsibilities as outlined below. Mainly, the Technical Consultant Inside Sales will be accountable for customer account management, distributor management, maintaining routine Web Shop operations, supporting their manager with sales/market strategies, while also utilizing the company’s customer engagement software (CE).

**Expanded Summary of Roles & Responsibilities**

**Sales**

The Technical Consultant Inside Sales will be accountable to maximize sales, by exposing customers to relevant Koppert product lines and for meeting annual sales goals for the assigned territory.

**Account Management (potential, new, loyal)**

**Maintain Routine Web Shop Operations**

The Technical Consultant Inside Sales will oversee the day-to-day functioning of Web Shop in relation to product management, order fulfilment, refunds, replying to site and product reviews.

**Distributor Management**

The Technical Consultant Inside Sales will be accountable to maximize sales by exposing distributors to relevant Koppert product lines, while building strong relationships with decision makers and support staff at assigned clients. They will also Act as lead intermediary in resolving client issues (i.e. product shortages, quality complaints, billing issues etc.).

**Support Area Manager in Sales & Market Development Strategies**

The Technical Consultant Inside Sales will assist the Head of Sales with sales strategy development and implementation while also helping to develop sales projections and strategies for the assigned region.

**CE- Customer Engagement**

The Technical Consultant Inside Sales will be accountable to enter required contact and profile information into Customer Engagement software.

**Core Competencies**

**General Competencies and Qualifications**
- Graduate of a Post-Secondary Institution (College or University). Horticultural or Agriculture focus is an asset.
- Minimum 2 years work experience in related field.
- Excellent customer service skills with a sense of urgency.
- Collaboration skills for establishing positive working relationships.
- Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and written.
- Ability to travel by vehicle to offices, meeting locations, customer farms, attend training or management gatherings as directed. A valid Driver’s License is required.
- French Language knowledge is an asset.

**Technology Competencies**
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, etc.).
- Adept at utilizing smart phone technologies; text, photo sharing, messenger groups etc.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 or other CRM, ERP is an asset.
