**MCM 2001 Inc.** is a recognized leader in custom millwork and fabrication. We are currently seeking a **Junior Estimator** to join our growing team.

**Summary**

We are seeking a Junior Estimator to join our team in Toronto. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our mission by providing accurate estimates that drive project success and uphold our reputation for quality and precision.

**Responsibilities**
- Preparing and assisting in preparing cost estimates by performing quantity take-offs, analyzing project specifications, and developing pricing information
- Collecting bids from vendors and subcontractors
- Maintaining cost databases, price lists, and project records
- Identifying and reporting potential cost discrepancies
- Preparing and compiling basic reports, summaries, and documentation
- Following company standards and procedures to ensure quality and accuracy of work
- Assisting in preparing start-up and close-out documentation (e.g., warranties, manuals, shop drawings)
- Supporting the preparation of vendor and subcontractor contract documentation
- Gathering project requirements and information needed for cost analysis
- Reviewing project documentation to build understanding of scope, requirements, and key deliverables
- Helping maintain positive working relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Progressively assuming more advanced estimating responsibilities with the expectation of independently preparing proposals and change orders over time, while continuing to work under supervision

**Qualifications and Skills**
- Proven experience as a Junior Estimator/Estimator in the construction or millwork industry
- Knowledge of construction processes and materials
- Ability to analyze drawings and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work
- Strong negotiation skills
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written

Pay: $19.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 44 per week
