Production Manager

**Summary**:Results driven leader responsible for supervising team members in a manufacturing and assembly environment. This position plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions.

**Responsibilities**:
**Essential Duties**:

- People:

- Ensure production line is staffed appropriately for production needs and a safe work environment.
- Ensure all employees uphold safety as a top priority and enforce zero-tolerance to unsafe acts.
- Train and promote employees while maintaining good records of all required and non-required training/licenses and certifications
- Ensures that all rules / policies stated within the employee handbook, the company safety programs and, any federal or state guidelines / laws are being adhered to.
- Liaise with other departments where required.
- Present daily, weekly and monthly presentations to management and employees including:

- Daily production meeting
- Weekly KPI meeting
- Monthly operations meeting
- Toolbox talks
- Uphold all required actions to maintain compliance with 18001 and 14001 ISO certifications
- Maintain training records, risk assessments, sop’s, jha’s and all applicable records in accordance to OSHA and ISO standards
- Process and Quality
- Uphold the ISO 9001 standard
- Ensure product produced is within specification.
- Ensure escalation procedures are up to date and available for all employees to utilize.
- Ensure accurate and timely confirmations of all product
- Optimize production schedules for most efficient use of time and manning without jeopardizing customer required delivery dates.
- Improvement
- Seek to improve product quality, production waste and production line utilization
- Work to continually drive lower cost to manufacture.
- Other responsibilities may be added as business needs dictate including covering other roles for vacation cover etc.

Qualifications:
**Education/Experience**:

- College degree or five years’ experience in insulated panel or related industry.

**Computer Skills**:

- High level of interpersonal skills.
- High level of organization and recordkeeping
- Good to excellent spelling, grammar and written communication skills.
- Good telephone and oral communication skills.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
