Job Description:
Reporting to the Senior Director, Financial Reporting, the Specialist, External Financial Reporting and Financial Information contributes actively to the preparation and the review of quarterly and annual financial documents,

including the financial statements, Management’s discussion and analysis (MD&A), press releases and other documents issued publicly by Cogeco Inc. and Cogeco Communications Inc., two public companies active in

the telecommunications sector in Canada and the United States.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Preparation and reviewing the quarterly and annual financial reports, including the consolidated financial statements, of the two public companies.- Reviewing documents supporting the information disclosed in the two public companies’ quarterly and annual reports, including the financial statements.- Reviewing any other quarterly and/or annual document, including the investor fact sheet and the presentation to investors.- Responsible for preparing the financial statements of the pension plans.- Contributing to the preparation and review of the quarterly and annual Management’s discussion and analysis (MD&A) of the two public companies, as well as the press releases.- Contributing to the drafting of memos and impact analyses on complex accounting issues or new accounting standards.- Interacting, as needed, with members of other departments (treasury, taxation, corporate development, sustainable development, legal, relations with investors) and divisions.-
- Responsible for special projects and other tasks related to the position.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

ACADEMIC TRAINING- Bachelor’s degree in a related field- CPA designation, an asset.

WORK EXPERIENCE- A minimum of eight years of relevant experience, particularly in the production of financial information, including the preparation of financial statements under IFRS® Accounting Standards.

SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES- Knowledge of IFRS Accounting Standards, an asset.- Knowledge of sustainability reporting standards, an asset.- Knowledge of securities regulations, including continuous disclosure requirements, an asset.- Analytical skills and ability to summarize.- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.- Sense of initiative and ability to assume responsibilities.- Good ability to manage priorities and stress.- Ability to work on tight deadlines.- Very good knowledge of both spoken and written French and English due to Cogeco operating in ON and USA as well.- Knowledge of Google Suite (Google Docs, Google Sheets), an asset.- Knowledge of Workiva software, an asset.
