**About the position**:

- Full time, 40h/week

- Starting annual salary: 142K-162K depending on experience
- Location: North America East Coast (preferred Canada, Quebec or Ontario).
- Type: 75% Remote/Working from home and **25% travel is required** for in-person quarterly planning, leadership meetings, conferences.

**What You Will Do**:
The Director of Global Engagement, under the supervision of the Executive Director and Deputy Executive Director, leads the team that - as a counterpart to our Product and Operations teams and in coordination with our Strategic Director - is responsible for:

- Strategic Leadership: developing and implementing strategies that support the financial health and advancement of the organization.
- Funding: securing new and existing top tier members;
- Partnerships: building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, across the public, private, and non-profit sectors, at an international level;
- Communications: overseeing the brand identity strategy (communication, events, marketing)
- Membership: overseeing the success of the membership program
- Thought/Technical Leadership: amplifying our presence in the transportation ecosystem, demonstrating a strong ambassadorship and influencing various groups in their decisions.
- People Management: engaging and empowering your team to ensure overall and individual growth and success; managing employees, including hiring, performance evaluation and capacity-building; promoting the organization's mission, and living its values and culture; leading by example to foster an inclusive and healthy work environment.

You will have to travel more or less 25% of the time and some operational (hands-on)work is required

**Who You Are**:

- Bachelor's degree in a related field; master's degree preferred
- 7+ years of experience in fundraising/business development, ideally with different sources, preferably from technology, transportation, government, and/or foundations
- 3+ years of people management experienceInternational development experience is a mustExperience working either in open source (e.g. with OSPOs) or in public transit technology is highly desirable
- Ability to effectively engage diverse group of stakeholders, including potential top tier members
- Strong leadership and strategic thinking skills
- Impact-driven and Go-getter
- Aware of and accustomed to the cultural differences across countries and continents
- Fluency in a language other than English is an asset

This person will be hired through the Canadian entity and must be eligible to work in Canada.
