**RETAIL PAINT SALES ASSOCIATE with Hospitality Industry related Skills and Experience**

**Store Information**:
**Position**:
Retail Paint Sales Associate
- Part-time position (8 to 16 hours per week)
- Potential for increased hours with ability to work at multiple locations
- Potential for increased hours from June through September

**Summary**:
We are looking for an individual who loves customer service, excels in a fast-paced environment during peak times, and possesses a great ability to multi-task.

The primary responsibility of the Retail Sales Associate is to provide a superior customer experience. This includes assisting customers with colour selections, as well as helping with paint and supply requirements. Other duties include merchandising, ordering, restocking, custom colour matching, and assisting the team as required. With adequate training, the position may be required to work in the store independently.

**Compensation**:

- $15.00 to $18.00 per hour depending upon experience

**Experience, Skills, and Responsibilities include**:

- Hospitality industry skills and experience
- Retail and/or sales experience
- Commercial and contractor relationship experience
- Paint sales experience
- Knowledge of interior design, paint, and colour theory
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a diligent attention to detail
- Ability to lift up to 75lbs
- Must be comfortable standing for extended periods of time
- Organized, timely and reliable
- Ability to multi-task with multiple customers during peak times
- **Available to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required**:

- Operational knowledge of point-of-sale systems and computer software
- Be comfortable assessing customer needs and advising the correct products for the job with certainty and authority
- Ability to build friendly, lasting and trusting relationships with customers

**Position Requirements**:

- Hospitality industry skills and experience: 2 years (Highly Preferred)
- Technical retail paint experience (product knowledge, mixing, tinting, colour matching, etc.): 1 year (Highly Preferred)
- Paint sales: 1 year (preferred)

**Education**:

- High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
