Automation - Maintenance Automation Technician Night Shift

Come join our Team, and learn first-hand how you can contribute to our “Innovation Inside” The Role **Responsibilities**: - Identify safety concerns and repair unsafe conditions. - Maintain assembly machines and equipment per established PM schedules. Suggest improvements to PM schedules (frequency and content) as applicable. - Respond promptly to breakdowns and maintain process uptime through troubleshooting and repairs. - Be actively involved in continuous improvement activities. Communicate opportunities for improvement through the appropriate channels. - Document issues and repairs using the appropriate systems and forms. - Support production equipment start-up and change-over as required. - Assist in new equipment commissioning and start-up. - Any other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements - Diploma in Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technology - Automation & Robotics - or commensurate experience - Working knowledge & experience with PLC-based equipment & machine logic - Experience troubleshooting and repairing assembly equipment - Ability to troubleshoot pneumatic, electric and mechanical equipment - Ability to select and install sensors and other machine components - Knowledge of and ability to use machining tools and equipment including powered & hand-held tools - Ability to read, understand and update electrical, pneumatic and mechanical drawings for assembly machines and equipment - Through understanding of machine guarding and other safety requirements **While not mandatory, preference will be given to those with**: - Experience programming OMRON PLCs - Working knowledge & experience installing & troubleshooting vision cameras/sensors - Ability & willingness to complete Millwright Apprenticeship/Red Seal Certification
