The Production Technician will perform a wide variety of tasks associated with general plant operations and field activities at a seed production facility.

**What You'll Do**:

- The responsibilities of a Production Tech are dynamic and may include but are not limited to activities related to: seed field, seed production plant, harvest, receiving, conditioning, treater operation, packaging, warehousing, returns/rework, and shipping, some general repair and maintenance, as directed by supervisor
- Activities such as receiving, precleaning, Conditioning, and bulk storage operator.
- Treating and packaging activities include computer based program treater operation, bagging, palletizing, sampling, and equipment clean downs.
- Safely operate equipment and following LOTO procedures.
- Operation of forklift/Scissor lift and Geni boom.
- Entering data including: testing results, downtime, quality concerns.
- Warehouse activities may include: Box Wash Operations, Box Repair, Returns.
- Compliance with Quality and Safety requirements including developing and reviewing procedures.

**Qualifications**:** Education**:

- You have your High School Diploma/GED OR are willing and able to obtain your GED within 1 year of hire as a condition of employment.
- 2-Year Agricultural diploma or equivalent experience preferred.

**What Skills You Need**:

- Knowledge of production agriculture.
- Ability to adjust quickly to changing conditions and anticipate needs.
- Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Problem solving capabilities.
- Conflict management skills.
- Ability to make independent decisions.
- Intermediate level of PC skills desired.
- Willingness to work in a variety of areas (field, plant, warehouse).
- Ability to climb and/or work in elevated areas; standing and sitting for extended periods.
- Position may involve repetitive motion and/or repetitive lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to work both outdoors and indoors in hot, cold, wet and dry conditions.
- Willing and able to work shift work.
- Willing and able to work overtime/weekends/holidays when needed
