JOB SUMMARY
As a Mountain Bike Park Summer Lift Operator, you are responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the Screaming Eagle Chairlift including; start up and shut down procedures, greeting guests, assisting in loading and unloading mountain bikes and providing physical assistance when required. With direct supervision from the Lift Operations Supervisor and Mountain Operations Duty Manager, the Mountain Bike Park Summer Lift Operator is expected to deliver a safe and exceptional experience for all mountain guests.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Ensuring safe and efficient operational procedures of lifts including start up and shut down procedures
- Greeting guests in a friendly and welcoming manner
- Scanning tickets, Bike Park access control
- Ensuring highest level of safety with respect to the load/unload area, ensuring that it is uncluttered and litter-free
- Assisting in the loading and unloading of Mountain Bikes, providing physical assistance to guests when required
- Establishing and maintaining all operational aspects of the lift station including; line control, tools and signs
- Maintaining housekeeping standards of load/unload areas as well as lift huts, ensuring a clean work environment including cleaning/disinfecting of chairlift chairs and other lift operational facilities (proper PPE will be provided)
- Maintaining a high quality, friendly and cooperative relationship with mountain staff
- Performing all other duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position reports directly to the Supervisors, Lift Operations and Duty Managers and does not involve any direct supervisory responsibilities.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES
- Passionate about Mountain Biking and the outdoors
- Ability to provide excellent guest service
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- Ability to work flexible schedule, in all weather conditions

WORKING CONDITIONS
Summer Lift Operators perform most of their duties outdoors and may work in all different kinds of weather conditions. Hours of Operation are weather dependant. Due to the nature of the business, this position requires flexibility in terms of your work schedule. A variety of work schedules may include a variety of start times, including shifts on weekends and statutory holidays. Shifts require standing for long periods of time, lifting, twisting, and other forms of manual tasks.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
$18.66 to $21.82/hour
