**Overview** We are looking for the next great Solution Consultant/Sales Engineer to join our growing team. When prospective customers are evaluating our software solution they want to see it in a live environment before they buy it. This is where you come in **We'd Love to Chat If You Would Enjoy** - Meeting with prospects to understand their current challenges and bottlenecks - Identifying key requirements, separating the "must haves" from the "nice to haves" - Asking questions to clarify their needs and prove that you understand their business - Leading live software demonstrations - Answering questions about the capabilities of a solution - Explaining how other similar companies have solved similar challenges with our solution - Collaborating with Account Executives on demo flow - Building rapport with prospects and sales reps - Interacting with people as a real person, not an automaton for a soulless corporation - Representing Starling with integrity - Drinking copious amounts of coffee (we provide the coffee) - You enjoy misleading people to get a "yes" - Would sell something that you know is not going to solve a real problem - You can't make it to our office on Agricola street multiple times per week - Don't have at least 3 years of previous full-time (non co-op) experience **Requirements**: - Previous experience in manufacturing, operations, or technical consulting - Strong interpersonal and communication skills - Ability to adapt quickly or "think on your feet" - Must be located in/near Halifax Nova Scotia - Must be eligible to work in Canada without sponsorship **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year Additional pay: - Bonus pay - Commission pay **Benefits**: - Casual dress - Dental care - Extended health care - Life insurance - On-site parking - Paid time off - RRSP match - Vision care Flexible language requirement: - French not required Schedule: - Day shift - Monday to Friday **Experience**: - solution consulting/sales engineer: 3 years (preferred) **Location**: - Halifax, NS B3K 4E4 (preferred) Work Location: In person Expected start date: 2025-02-01
