**Entry Level Administrative Assistant / Receptionist**
Job Purpose: The administrative assistant/receptionist will be responsible for general phone reception duties. Also the ability to perform data entry of accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions and related duties into Sage (Simply Accounting) accounting software. Other duties include sorting and matching suppliers' bills and packing slips to purchase orders; sorting and matching customers' purchase orders and our sales orders to ensure sales invoices are correctly and promptly generated.
**Job Duties**:
- Fielding telephone calls using a five-line phone system
- Comfortable with web browsers and ability to post / update company’s
- promotions on our social media platforms
- Receiving and directing visitors
- Filing
- Assisting the management team as required
- Controlling and organizing internal paperwork
- Promoting a professional corporate image
**Personal Characteristics**
- Possesses good organizational skills
- Has a courteous helpful attitude and can work well with others
- Can multi-task and prioritize
- Operates well under stress
- Self-motivated, work well in a group and independently.
**Skills/Qualifications**: The assistant office administrator/receptionist will have the following essential skill sets: Proficient knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook, multi-tasking, good organizational skills, problem-solving, strong verbal/communication skills, clear phone manner, and self-direction. Good accounting cycle knowledge is a strong asset.
Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
**Salary**: $16.00-$17.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Mississauga, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
**Education**:
- Secondary School (preferred)
**Experience**:
- Front desk: 1 year (preferred)
- Administrative experience: 1 year (preferred)
