Founded in 1986 and still family owned, Len Dubois Trucking is seeking an Assistant Controller to join our Finance Team. We are a well-established company meeting our customers needs with over 80 trucks on the road.

The Dubois Group of companies includes a trucking business, a freight brokerage and a truck repair shop.

**Duties**:

- Prepare and analyze financial statements to summarize and forecast the company’s financial status.
- Establish and maintain internal processes and controls.
- Produce and manage balance sheets.
- Assist with processing and reviewing trip envelopes to ensure billing and driver pay are accurately completed in a timely manner.
- Assist with management of accounting, auditing and budgeting within the organization.
- Lead preparations for annual audit. Serve as a liaison to external auditors.
- Reconcile accounting inaccuracies or imbalances.
- Ensure compliance with and prepare reports according to applicable government regulations.
- Use accounting software to maintain records and prepare reports.
- Coordinate with and prepare reports for CFO and other department managers.
- Coordinate and assist with budget process.
- Oversee accounts payable.
- Recognize opportunities to take advantage of and discrepancies to proactively solve problems.
- Contributes to team efforts by displaying a “go-getter” attitude and accomplishing related tasks as needed.

**Qualifications**:

- Excellent critical thinking skills.
- Detail oriented and highly organized.
- Sound time management and the ability to prioritize.
- Proficient with Microsoft 365 suite, especially Excel.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting software and systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

**Education & Experience Requirements**:

- A University degree (or equivalent) in accounting, finance or related field.
- A recognized Canadian accounting designation (CPA) or enrolled in a program near completion.
- Experience in cross-border transportation considered an asset.

**Salary**: $70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
