**Janitor Part Time Overnight (local applicants only).**

**Overnight Janitorial - 11:30pm to 7:30am ISLAND RESIDENTS ONLY.**

The Overnight Reception position is multi-faceted, responsible for front desk administration, security of the building and grounds, residents and janitorial duties from 11:30 pm to 7:30 am.

**Building**:

- Monitor security cameras.
- Perform regular building and outside grounds checks.
- Respond to fire and smoke alarms in accordance with established plan.
- Perform all janitorial duties outlined in the cleaning schedule and laundering of kitchen and housekeeping cloths, aprons and mops.

**Resident**:

- Respond without delay when a Resident activates their personal emergency alert and follow established protocols.
- Responding appropriately to inquires from Residents, families and general public.

**Administration**:

- Answering telephone, transferring calls and taking messages.
- Ensuring that all unusual or serious incidents are recorded and reported.
- Ensuring accurate and timely completion of duties assigned or required including completing the communication log.
- Ensuring that information about people that call in sick is communicated to the day shift front desk person.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in administration and 2 years in janitorial required.
- Clear criminal record for vulnerable sector required.

**Experience**:

- ** Cleaning**: 1 year (preferred).
- ** Janitorial**:1 year (preferred).

**Language**:

- English (required).

**License/Certification**:

- WHMIS Certification required.
