We are currently seeking a **Full-Time** **Cook** to join our culinary team at The Journey Club within the beautiful lakeside community of Westman Village in Mahogany.

A Journey Club Cook works with a kitchen team dedicated to developing and actioning a variety of recipes for our resident base. Our goal is to lead the way in terms of Senior Living culinary arts by consistently diversifying the menu’s provided and adapting to dietary & health requests on an as-needed basis.

**A day in the life of a Cook at the Journey Club**:

- Receive orders from front of house staff and prepare meals according to resident preferences
- Preparing a variety of delicious meals according to the daily menu and set recipes
- Closely follow instructions in cooking and delivering well-prepared meals
- Make adjustments to accommodate residents with specific diet/health concerns
- Perform a variety of cooking techniques and utilize various ingredients, based on experience
- Responsible for accurately preparing the workstation & subsequently the cleaning procedures associated
- Monitor & manage cooking tools and ingredients
- Develop new recipes that align with The Journey Club’s culinary management

**What you bring to the table**:

- Proven experience as a cook, preferably within the Senior’s Living industry considered a strong asset
- Experience in using cutting tools, cookware, and bakeware
- Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc.)
- Consistent capability in following all sanitation procedures required
- Food Safety Certificate
- Proven ability to work on a diverse team
- Excellent communication skills
- Diploma or Certificate from a Culinary program will be considered an advantage
- A current and clear Criminal Records Check
