These positions reside in the Ministry of Health under the Acute Care Division, within the Quality Planning & Performance Programs Branch, Emergency Health Services Branch, and Continuing Care Division, Licensing and Compliance Monitoring Branch.
**Role Responsibilities: Health Compliance Consultant**:
Are you passionate about ensuring regulatory excellence in health care? Join our team as a Health Compliance Consultant, a vital role that will shape the future of compliance monitoring under the expanding scope of the Continuing Care Act (CCA). This position is crucial for enhancing operational efficiency and safeguarding the quality of care for residents in our communities.
**Key Responsibilities include**:
- **Policy Development**:Craft operational policies that align with legislative requirements and industry best practices in licensing and compliance monitoring.
- **Policy Research & Analysis**:Conduct in-depth research and analyze clinical outcomes data to inform operational policies, decisions and provide valuable policy feedback to Licensing and Compliance Monitoring Branch.
- **Training & Development**:Create and maintain a comprehensive training matrix and curriculum to empower branch staff with the necessary knowledge, skills, and resources. This includes curating essential literature and concepts from leading experts in care facility licensing.
- **Risk Assessment & Monitoring**: Design and implement risk-based assessments and compliance monitoring tools that facilitate high-quality data collection and support effective auditing practices.
- **Continuous Improvement**: Identify opportunities for enhancement in regulatory monitoring and develop strategies to foster consistency in training and mentoring initiatives.
- **Project Leadership**: Lead, plan, and evaluate major health compliance projects while coordinating cross-government initiatives to drive regulatory excellence.
- **Stakeholder Liaison**: Collaborate with other branches and divisions within AH, and Health Legal teams to offer legislative and policy interpretations to operators and inspectors, ensuring clarity and compliance in health care operations.
