Our clinic is proud to serve furry family members in Richmond Hill and all over the Greater Toronto Area. We offer a one-of-a-kind care that gives support to pet parents and their loyal companions. Our services include vaccinations, diagnostic testing, routine spays and neuters and laser therapy to name a few. Our facility has an in-house laboratory equipped with digital X-rays and a state-of-the-art surgical suite. We use modern technology to ensure your beloved pet lives a long, happy life. **ABOUT THE ROLE**

Some responsibilities include:

- Oversee smooth and efficient operations of the clinics
- Recruit, train and motivate staff
- Handle human resource issues when they arise and escalate to the Operations Director when needed
- Work with the Operations Director to create and execute the vision for the clinics
- Help grow the clinics in both revenue and new clientele
- Create action plans for the clinic and staff to maximize success
- Prepare regular reports on a weekly basis

AS OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE YOU WILL HAVE:

- An abiding love of animals and a deep understanding of the human/animal bond.
- Previous experience as an office/practice manager, preferably in the veterinary industry, retail, or healthcare industry (but not required)
- Excellent management and leadership skills with the ability to set priorities, delegate, motivate and the ability to grow high-performing teams.
- Client service oriented.
- Be able to balance the needs of the business, team and clients and find win-win solutions when those needs are in conflict.
- Proven ability to hire, train, coach staff and create a culture of accountability for performance.
- Highly developed emotional intelligence to compassionately and effectively navigate emotionally charged situations in the hospital.
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
- A collaborative mind-set and a strong desire to build relationships with team members, clients and the community
- Experience with drafting and managing shift schedules.
- Enthusiasm, high energy and a positive attitude

The Practice managers are the gatekeepers of the clinic and they will be fully supported by the Operations Director, with access to different resources, including continuous training and development to support and ensure their success in managing the clinic.

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
