**The role**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Architect, build and manage data infrastructure
- Ensure the security, integrity, stability and availability of database systems
- Manage, monitor and maintain databases and report on usage and performance metrics
- Perform requested changes, updates and modifications to database structure and data
- Perform Commvault backup/restore of SQL Server databases
- Track release cycles and deliver bug fixes, change requests and enhancements on time
- Implement new technologies by participating in the evaluation of technological tools, software and practices
- Design and implement ETL processes; provide technical design, coding, testing, implementation, maintenance, system and technical support of data initiatives using industry standard ETL tools
- Present ETL documentation and designs to team members and convey complex information clearly and concisely
- Respond in a timely manner to errors reported by users
- Provide technical support for SQL Server SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, transaction processing, data access, performance optimization and database recovery
- Diagnose performance issues related to database objects, the underlying operating system, and storage subsystems
- Provide on-call operational support and support source upgrades, hardware/software upgrade projects with end-to-end impact analysis, patching and testing
- Provide operational support in the event of outages and service interruptions
- Diagnose software, computing, storage, and networking issues
- Design training programs, create documentation and user guides, and provide training to other team members on data infrastructure
- Collaborate with other teams, team members and stakeholders

**Professional qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science/data science, or a related discipline
- 5+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server (2014/2017/2017/2019)
- 5 years or more of experience in the information technology field
- 3+ years of experience working with Azure technologies such as:

- Data Factory
- Data Lake
- Azure Synapse
- Databricks
- Blob Storage
- SQL Database (PaaS)
- KeyVault
- DevOps and Git
- Critical thinking, strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Highly motivated, enthusiastic, and a positive thinker

**Desired qualifications**:

- Experience with integrations with ERP, UKG, HR, timesheets and attendance systems. Project Online, SharePoint Online, Salesforce, banking systems.
- Hands-on experience with Soap/Rest API/Web service, including hands-on experience with point-to-point integration and integration using middleware.
