- I_n this role, under the guidance of the HS&E Manager & HS&E Specialist you will:_
- Provides administrative support to the HSE Department and assists the day-to-day operation of the department.
- Prepare and regularly update key HS&E project performance metrics and monthly governance reports.
- Updating HS&E objectives, improvement plans and monitoring progress towards goals.
- Assists with data collection and entry to internal / external databases, and updates reports to Group where required (e.g. Balanced Scorecard)
- Assist in the administration and development of Safety Alerts and Safety Toolbox Talks / Safety Moments.
- Administration of the HS&E Department SharePoint website
- Coordinate HS&E related campaigns, Group Safety initiatives with key stakeholders.
- Assist in communication strategy to ensure employees are kept informed of key HS&E projects, accident/incident event trending data.
- Coordinate and maintain HS&E training activities ensuring accurate records are updated and retained within Training Matrix.
- Administer on-line safety courses using HR Software Platforms (e.g. SuccessFactors, HR Downloads)
- Scheduling and administration of required on-site HS&E training (such as New & Young Worker Orientation).
- Regularly monitor HS&E Training completion data.
- Assist with the administration, document control, periodic revision of HS&E procedures.
- Assist in administration and maintenance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), First Aid & Emergency Response Equipment.
- Generate and reconcile purchase orders for HS&E Department.
- Administration of Occupational Health surveillance (e.g., hearing testing)
- Coordinate and maintain records related to workplace inspections & audits.
- Provide administrative support to Babcock’s health and safety committees.
- Assist in audits and continuous improvement projects.
- Foster a strong health and safety culture are all levels of Babcock Canada.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Being flexible, able to adjust to multiple demands or shifting priorities.
- Detail oriented and organized with accurate with record keeping and data entry skills.
- Effective organization skills and a desire to handle administrative duties.
- Advanced computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Competent with Excel, creating pivot tables etc.
- Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills;
- Discreet and able to securely handle confidential information;
- Ability to carry out day to day task (assigned) without supervision or direction.
