**Position Term: October 2025 - March 2026**

**Hourly Rate: $25.00 - $30.00, based on experience and qualifications**

**Regular Hours: Sundays from 12:15 PM - 4:15 PM, for approximately 20 weeks during the season (hours may change slightly to accommodate league times)**

**Position Summary**: The East St. Paul Curling Club is seeking an enthusiastic, organized, and experienced individual to serve as our On-Ice Youth Curling Coordinator for the 2025-26 season. This role involves leading the Bantam and Little Rocks curling programs and coordinating with other club leads to support the Junior Inter-club development program. This is a rewarding opportunity to help young curlers develop foundational skills and a love for the game.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

  • Coordinate and facilitate the Bantam and Little Rocks on-ice youth curling program
  • Develop and lead on-ice content each Sunday in line with the program descriptions provided on the Youth Curling webpage
  • Provide direct on-ice instruction, supervision, and behavior management
  • Schedule, coordinate, and meet with on-ice parent volunteers prior to each session to review the day's plan and ensure smooth delivery of the program
  • Plan and lead training sessions for on-ice parent volunteers, as needed
  • Assess and evaluate the effectiveness of the on-ice youth programs and adjust instruction or structure as necessary
  • Coordinate with other club leads and support curler development for the Junior Inter-club curling program, including development activities and league facilitation
  • Collaborate with CurlESP Board Members for youth program planning and communication
  • Complete the Manitoba Club Coach or Competition Coach Level 1 certification, if not already held
  • Must be able to pass a criminal record check and child abuse registry check

**Regular Hours: Sundays from 12:15 PM - 4:15 PM (plus as needed), for approximately 20 weeks during the season (hours may change slightly to accommodate league times)**

**Additional Off-Ice Hours: Required for planning and administrative tasks such as**

  • Skill development sheet creation (Bantam and Little Rocks)
  • Team rosters
  • Round robin and playoff draw schedules and scorekeeping
  • Coordinating parent volunteers and off-ice activities
  • _**Junior Inter-club coordination and support: Additional coordination hours may be required at the start of the season and monthly throughout the season**_
